Badgers hire Settle as running backs coach

March 4, 2015 By Bill Scott

MotionW_2ColorThe University of Wisconsin officially named John Settle the teams running backs coach on Tuesday.

Settle joins Paul Chryst for the second time, after coaching running backs for Chryst last season at Pittsburgh.  He also spent time with the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers after his first stint with the Badgers from 2006 to 2010.

Settle replaces Thomas Brown, who spent one season at Wisconsin’s running backs coach before accepting the same position at Georgia, his alma mater.

Settle coached four of the top 10 rushers in Wisconsin history, P.J. Hill, John Clay, James White and Montee Ball.
