Titans capture WIAC women’s title

WIAC Logo-ColorThe UW-Oshkosh women’s basketball team is headed back to the NCAA Division 3 basketball tournament for the second straight season, following their 66-61 win over UW-Superior in the WIAC Championship game in Superior on Sunday.

The Titans (22-6) broke the game open by scoring 10 straight points in the final minutes.

Oshkosh earned the WIAC’s automatic bid to the 64-team field which will be unveiled this afternoon.

Katelyn Kuehl led four Titans in double figures with 16 points, Taylor Schmidt had 13 points and Alex Richard tallied a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
