WIAA State Baseball Tournament (Day 1 Results)

State BaseballThe WIAA Boys State Baseball Tournament is underway at Fox Cities Stadium.  The Division 1 field started  with eight teams and saw it narrowed to two by the end of the day.

Division 1 Quarterfinals

Kimberly 3, Kenosha Indian Trail 0
River Falls 10, Milwaukee Reagan 0
Oconomowoc 1, Bay Port 0
Janesville Craig 7, Baraboo 2

Division 1 Semifinals

Kimberly 6, River Falls 4 – 9 innings
Janesville Craig 4, Oconomowoc 0

Division 1 Championship game – Thursday at 6 p.m.

Kimberly (26-4) vs. Janesville Craig (28-1)

Day two of the WIAA Championships features six semifinal games.  That schedule follows.

Division 4 Semifinals – 8 a.m.

Spring Valley (19-3) vs. Rio (20-4)
Rib Lake (18-7) vs. Ithaca (22-3)

Division 3 Semifinals – 1 p.m.

Chequamegon (21-6) vs. Lake Country Lutheran (26-2)
Marathon (26-2) vs. Aquinas (26-3)

Division 2 Semifinals – 6 p.m.

West Salem (23-4) vs. Milwaukee Lutheran (17-3)
Notre Dame (19-10) vs. River Valley (22-6)
