Janesville bookkeeper accused of stealing from student groups (VIDEO)

The Janesville School District is sharing more information about the case surrounding a former employee being accused of embezzlement. Superintendent Karen Schulte said Jessica Warner-Reed’s activities didn’t come to light until early last year.

Warner-Reed is accused of stealing in excess of $300,000 between 2006 and 2015. Warner-Reed served as a bookkeeper for Janesville Craig High School and collected fees from 140 various clubs, teams, and groups.

She faces charges including one count of Embezzlement of Greater than $10,000, one count of Misconduct in Public Office, ten counts of Forgery, and 6 counts of Tax Fraud.
