Bradley, Kloppenburg advance in Wisconsin Supreme Court race

The field is set for the state Supreme Court race on April 5, with incumbent Justice Rebecca Bradley and Appeals Court Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg advancing out of Tuesday’s primary election.

Unofficial returns showed Bradley receiving the most votes out of the three candidates who were running in the primary, with Kloppenburg in second. Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Joe Donald appeared to be a distant third.

Bradley was appointed to the seat she’s running for last fall by Governor Scott Walker, following the death of Justice Patrick Crooks. Kloppenburg previously ran for the high court in 2011, losing to Justice David Prosser after a statewide recount of the election results.
