Minnesota man is season’s 9th snowmobiling fatality

A Minnesota man is the ninth person to die in Wisconsin snowmobile crashes this winter. Fifity-four-year-old David Cronoble of Mound died Friday night when his machine hit a truck and a trailer parked on Lake Namakagon in Bayfield County.

Investigators said Cronoble and three other riders drove their snowmobiles off a marked trail on the lake. Deputies said no one was inside the truck-and-trailer.
