Body of missing Hager City woman found in river

March 17, 2016 By WRN Contributor

marya-christianson1The body of a young woman missing since last Saturday was pulled from the Mississippi River near Hagar City on Wednesday. Pierce County Sheriff Nancy Hove said the dive team from the Goodhue County, Minnesota Sheriff’s Department pulled a white van from the Mississippi River just before 6 p.m.

The body inside was that of 23-year-old Marya Christianson.

The mother of two boys from Hager City was last seen leaving a bar across the river in Red Wing after a night out partying. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help raise funds for a memorial for Christiansen, and to help with funds for her children.
