Infants left in hot car in Green Bay

June 24, 2016 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay police are referring child neglect charges against a woman who allegedly left two infants unattended in a vehicle Thursday. Police were dispatched to the parking lot at Bethesda Thrift Shop on Military Avenue at 11:25 a.m.

Upon officers’ arrival, the windows were up and the vehicle was not running.

The 1-year-old and 18-month-old infants were taken out of the vehicle and emergency crews checked them over. According to police, the infants’ 51-year-old grandmother went to Bethesda Thrift Shop with five grandchildren but left the two youngest in the vehicle.

Brown County Child Protective Services was called to the scene and turned all the children over to the woman’s daughter.
