Boscobel woman arrested in infant death

July 11, 2016 By WRN Contributor

An investigation is ongoing into the death of a 3-month old girl in Boscobel. Authorities in Grant County say 31-year-old Renae Bellis has been arrested and will face charges of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide.

Boscobel Police were called to a home Saturday morning about 8:30 for a death investigation. Officers initially arrested a 39-year-old man, but he was released after investigators discovered more details in the case.

Police say both Bellis and the man live at the home where the incident happened. A preliminary autopsy of the infant has been completed. Bellis will appear before a Grant County judge on Monday when an initial complaint is filed against her.
