Brewers drop series finale to Pittsburgh

The Brewers could not solve Pirates starter Francisco Liriano in dropping the finale of a three game series in Pittsburgh by the final of 5-3 Thursday night.

Liriano struck out 13 Milwaukee natters over 6 2/3 innings.

Jonathan Villar homored for the Brewers in the loss. Hernan Perez went two for four, scoring and driving in a run.

Matt Garza takes the loss surrendering five runs, four earned over five innings.
