Pence campaigns in Wisconsin

July 27, 2016 By Bob Hague

Republican vice-presidential candidate Mike Pence campaigned in Wisconsin Wednesday night.

The Indiana governor took the stage before an enthusiastic crowd at the Waukesha County Expo Center. “I am determined to work with all of you to ensure that Hillary Clinton must never be allowed to become president of the United State of America,” Pence said.

Pence said Democrats would have us believe the Obama years are the best we can do. “It’s not the best we can do, it’s just the best they can do. And with Donald Trump as President of the United States we’re going to get this economy back on track and put Americans back to work.”

We’ve heard from both sides of the presidential race that the future of the Supreme Court is on the line in November. Mike Pence made the point again in Waukesha last night. “For the sake of the sanctity of life, for the sake of our 2nd Amendment and all our God give liberties, we must make sure that the next president making appointments to the Supreme Court is Donald Trump.”

This was Pence’s first solo event since accepting the vice-presidential nomination.
