WISDEMS Laning ready for DNC in Philadelphia

July 24, 2016 By Bob Hague

Democrats have their opportunity this to respond to Republicans and their candidate for president. Delegates are convening in Philadelphia for the 2016 Democratic National Convention, and state Democratic Party Chair Martha Laning says they’r ready to rally around Hillary Clinton.

As numerous Democrats including President Barcak Obama have noted, Clinton brings an extensive resume. “She really knows going into this job exactly what it’s going to take,” she said. And Laning says Republican rhetoric towards Clinton has been over the top. “They’ve attacked Hillary Clinton for decades, over and over again, and I think it’s a great sign that shows just how ready she is to be president.”

As for Donald Trump? “He clearly doesn’t even know a lot of the basic information that we would expect. He does not have the temperament to be in that office, and it’s just really frightening to many of us to even think about him being president of the United States and have launch codes to nuclear weapons.”
