Ho-Chunk Nation announces casino expansions

August 16, 2016 By Bob Hague

The Ho-Chunk Nation is planning to spend $153 million dollars to renovate and expand three casinos. Work on the “Project Forward” expansions will begin next month at casinos in Wisconsin Dells, Black River Falls and Wittenberg.

Upgrades will include gaming floor expansions with additional slot machines, new hotels, restaurants and bars, smoke-free gaming areas and cosmetic enhancements.

One hundred new jobs will be created that will add to the existing 3,400 employee Ho-Chunk Nation workforce, according to a release from the tribe.
