Linda Seemeyer
Governor Scott Walker has appointed Linda Seemeyer to serve as the new secretary of the state Department of Health Services.
Seemeyer is a former director of the Walworth County Department of Health and Human Services – a position she held until her retirement last year. She’s also served as the director of the Milwaukee County Department of Administrative Services and was the deputy secretary of the state Department of Administration under Governor Tommy Thompson.
Seemeyer replaces Interim Secretary Tom Engels, who took over DHS following the June death of Kitty Rhoades. Engles will return to his position as deputy secretary.
