‘Slenderman’ attorneys make jury requests

September 1, 2016 By WRN Contributor

Lawyers representing the two girls charged in the Slenderman stabbing case are asking for juries from outside Waukesha County. It’s been more than two years since Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier were arrested, accused of stabbing a friend in a park in an effort to please the fictional online character “Slenderman.”

Geyser’s lawyer wants his client’s trial moved from Waukesha County, while Weier’s attorney wants a jury brought to Waukesha from somewhere else. A letter to the courts states that to move Weier to another facility would create significant hardships at the most stressful time of her life. Both girls are charged as adults with first-detree attempted homicide.
