The Milwaukee Brewers have changed their road fortunes around and will go for the sweep in the NLDS against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix tonight.
The Brewers struggled in the first half of the season on the road, but went 23-11 in their last 34 games away from Miller Park.
Shaun Marcum gets the start for the Brewers. He got roughed up by the Pirates in his last outing of the regular season and finished just 5-4 at home this season. But Marcum is 8-3 with a 2.21 ERA on the road this season, which bodes well for the Brewers as they try to sweep the Diamondbacks tonight. Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said he’s confident in Marcum.

The Brewers go up against rookie right handed pitcher Josh Collmenter (10-10, 3.38 ERA). Collmenter is 1-0 with 14-scoreless innings against the Brewers this season.

The Brewers have some history on their side. Since Major League Baseball went to the current playoff format in 1995, all 19 teams that took a 2-0 lead in the NLDS advanced to the NLCS.
The Diamondbacks led the majors this season with 48 come-from-behind wins. That in itself would tell you that they don’t give up easily.

First pitch tonight is 8:37pm in Phoenix.
