Bats come alive, Brewers beat Dodgers

May 5, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers scored 9-runs in the second inning last night, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-6 in their series opener in Los Angeles.

Prince Fielder and Gregg Zaun each clubbed 2-run homers and Ryan Braun added a 3-run double in the big second inning.

Chris Narveson was the recipient of all that run production.  Narveson improved to 2-0 after allowing 3-runs and 4-hits over 6-innings.  The Dodgers scored their 3-runs off of Narveson on a pair of sacrifice flies and a ground-out.    James Loney clubbed a 3-run homer off of reliever Manny Parra.

Clayton Kershaw took the loss, lasting just 1 1/3 innings.

Doug Davis pitches game 2 of the series for the Brewers tonight.
