Division 3 CWS starts Friday

May 26, 2011 By Bill Scott

The eight teams that make up the NCAA Division 3 College World Series field are in the Fox Valley today, getting ready for tomorrow’s start of the World Series.

A new champion will be crowned this year after Illinois-Wesleyan, which won the 2010 title, didn’t make it out of the regionals.

UW-Whitewater is the only Wisconsin team in the field.  The Warhawks will face Buena Vista University of Iowa in an opening round game at 4:30pm on Friday at Fox Cities Stadium.
