Fielder & Weeks in Home Run Derby tonight

National League in tomorrow night’s Major League Baseball All-Star game.  Tonight, they’ll compete in the All-Star Home Run Derby.

Fielder is making his 3rd derby appearance, previously winning it in St. Louis back in 2009.  Weeks is making his first all-star and derby appearance.  The Brewer second baseman would like to win it, but he said there’s no side bets with Fielder.

Rickie Weeks enters tonight’s derby with 17 home runs in the first half.  Fielder has clubbed 22 for the Brewers.  The other two National League representatives in the field are Matt Kemp (22 home runs) of the Dodgers and Matt Holliday (14 home runs) of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Making up the National League field are Jose Bautista (31 home runs) of Toronto, David Ortiz (19 home runs) of the Red Sox, Adrian Gonzalez (17 home runs) also from the Red Sox and New York Yankee Robinson Cano (15 home runs).
