Badgers ends slide, cruise past Green Bay

December 8, 2011 By Bill Scott

They say timing is everything.  The Green Bay Phoenix men’s basketball team

Jordan Taylor

couldn’t have picked a worse time to face the Wisconsin Badgers.

The Badgers, coming off of back to back losses to North Carolina and Marquette, were looking to end their 2-game streak.  The Phoenix just happened to be the team next in line and standing in their way.  The result:  Wisconsin 70, Green Bay 42.

Badger guard Jordan Taylor had a double-double, scoring 15 points and dishing out 10 assists.  Taylor, who didn’t turn the ball over at all, said ball movement was key.

The Badgers also held Green Bay’s 7’1 big man Alec Brown to 10 points on the night.

Wisconsin improved to 7-2, while Green Bay fell to 4-3.  The game was played before a non-sellout crowd of 17,076.  That snapped a string of 143 consecutive sellouts at the Kohl Center.
