Badger women knock off Northwestern

January 23, 2012 By Bill Scott

Wisconsin poured in a season-high 75 points and knocked off Northwestern
75-55 at the Kohl Center in Madison on Sunday.

Anya Covington led the way with a career high 23 points and 12 rebounds to help the Badgers pull out the win.

Wisconsin (2-5 Big Ten, 6-13 overall) took advantage of Northwestern’s cold shooting to take a 20-point lead with 7-minutes left to play.  The Wildcats shot just 26.7% from the field in the second half.

After tallying just 19 rebounds at Iowa on Thursday, the Badgers pulled down 43 rebounds on Sunday.

Next up for the Badger women, a trip to Minnesota on Thursday night.
