Marcum will miss tonight’s start

June 19, 2012 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Brewers right hander Shaun Marcum will miss his schedule start tonight in game 2 of their series with the Toronto Blue Jays at Miller Park.

Marcum is plagued by elbow tightness.  The Brewers will call up a pitcher from the minors later today.

Marcum had won three straight starts before a no-decision in Kansas City last week.  He’s 5-3 on the season with a 3.39 ERA in 13 starts.

By missing the start tonight, Marcum will miss a chance to pitch against his former team.  Toronto traded Marcum to the Brewers for Brett Lawrie.
