Kyle Lohse pitched three scoreless innings to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to their first Cactus League win, 5-3 over the Cincinnati Reds in Phoenix on Tuesday.

Lohse scattered two hits and struck out four.  Lohse now has seven strikeouts and no walks in his first 5 2/3 innings this spring.

Martin Maldonado stayed hot, clubbing home run in the fourth inning.  Shane Peterson added a two-run blast in the fifth.

Today’s matchup

Matt Garza makes his second start of the spring in Scottsdale today, facing Tim Hudson and the World Series champion Giants.  Garza allowed a run on five hits and a walk in two innings against the Dodgers last week.
