Badger volleyball falls to Arkansas

Motion WThe 11th-ranked Wisconsin women’s volleyball team, playing in its first five-set match of the season, fell to Arkansas 21-26, 25-22, 20-25, 25-13, 11-15 in the final round of the Creighton Classic on Saturday night at D.J. Sokol Arena.

The Badgers finished the non-conference slate of its season with an 8-2 record.

Wisconsin junior Haleigh Nelson and freshman Tionna Williams recorded 18 and 16 kills, respectively.

The Badgers open Big Ten play on Wednesday, facing top-ranked and defending national champion Penn State in University Park, Pennsylvania at 6 p.m. CT.
