Abbrederis takes a big step

After catching four passes for 57-yards in Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions, wide receiver Jared Abbrederis is hoping to see more opportunities in the Green Bay Packers offense moving forward.

Abbrederis wasn’t about to suggest that he is the answer to the Packers offensive woes, but he clearly found away to get open and make plays when the Packers passing game was struggling.

Of course, Abbrederis also left the game after a jarring hit following a 32-yard reception down the right sideline that resulted in a rib injury.

When asked about the injury, Abbrederis wouldn’t say to what extent he was hurt and if he would be able to play this week.

Abbrederis has had a hard time staying healthy.  After missing all of last season with a torn ACL, he missed most of training camp this year with a concussion.  All the more reason for Abbrederis to produce when given the opportunity and the Wautoma native did just that on Sunday.

AUDIO: Abbrederis says he’s glad to produce when given the chance. :09
