Badgers go stone cold, fall to Oklahoma

7th ranked Oklahoma jumped out to a 26-9 lead and cruised to a 65-48 win over the Wisconsin Badgers in men’s college basketball action on Sunday.

Nigel Hayes (20 points, 11 rebounds) hit just 5 of 17 from the field and point guard Bronson Koenig (9 points) was 3 of 18 as the Badgers hit just 23.5% from the field.

Vitto Brown missed 12 of 15 shots, including all six three-point attempts.

The Sooners got 20 points and 14 rebounds from senior forward Ryan Spangler, improving to 4-0 on the season.

The Badgers settled for three-pointers.  In the first 13 minutes of the game, they had three baskets, all from three-point range.  The Badgers had just 10 points in the paint for the game.

The Badgers fell to 4-3 with the loss.  They’ll continue their road trip, at Syracuse on Wednesday night.
