Anderson struggles against Reds

March 29, 2016 By Bill Scott

Brewers logoMilwaukee starter Chase Anderson had another rough outing as the Brewers dropped their Cactus League game on Monday night, 9-8 to the Cincinnati Reds.

The right-hander, who was traded from Arizona to the Brewers during the winter, gave up four earned runs in seven innings with seven hits.  He walked four and struck out four.  The Reds scored six times in the opening frame.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis was the only Brewer to have two hits, as the Brewers fell to 12-12-2 in Cactus League play.

Wily Peralta gets his final spring tune-up against the Reds this afternoon at Maryvale.  Peralta will start the Brewers regular season opener against the San Francisco Giants on Monday at Miller Park.
