Badger men finish runner-up in Big Ten soccer tournament

ncaa-soccerThe 18th-ranked Wisconsin men’s soccer team (11-4-4 overall, 4-2-2 Big Ten) fell to number-one ranked Maryland (19-0-2, 7-0-1) 2-1 in the Big Ten Tournament championship game on Sunday in Westfield, Indiana.

Junior Tom Barlow scored the Badgers lone goal in the 12th minute of play on a feed from junior Christopher Mueller.  The goal was Barlow’s fifth of the season and 13th of his career.

Wisconsin now turns its focus to an NCAA tournament bid.  The NCAA tournament selection show is set to stream live at noon Monday on www.NCAA.com.
