January 21, 2013 By Bill Scott

With San Francisco winning the NFC Championship, 28-24 over Atlanta on Sunday,

Josh Sitton

Josh Sitton

guard Mike Iupati won’t be playing in this week’s NFL Pro Bowl game, opening the door for first alternate Josh Sitton of the Green Bay Packers.

Sitton is playing in his first Pro Bowl.

Teammates Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews have already bailed because of injury.  Rodgers and Matthews both suffered knee injuries in their last games.

Sitton will be joined by Jeff Saturday who was voted in as a backup.

The Packers coaching staff will also be taking part in the Pro Bowl.  They’re all expected to be in Hawaii today.
