Gerardo Parra tied the score with a pinch-hit rbi single in the 7th, then Ryan Braun and Adam Lind clubbed home runs in the 8th to send the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-3 win over the Minnesota Twins at Miller Park on Sunday.

The extra runs proved to be necessary after Francisco Rodriguez served up Torii Hunter’s 2-run homer in the 9th in a non-save situation.

Braun’s blast to left was his 15th of the season.  Lind clubbed his 11th home run of the season.

Mike Fiers pitched one of his best games of the season, allowing a single run on four hits in seven innings.  Fiers walked three and struck out four.  Fiers worked seven innings for just the second time this season.

Will Smith worked a scoreless 8th to improve to 4-0 this season.

The Brewers took 2 of 3 from the Twins, winning their second straight series.  They’ll hit the road and open a 3-game series in Philadelphia against the Phillies tonight.  Jimmy Nelson (4-8, 4.34  ERA) works for the Brewers.  Sean O’Sullivan (1-5, 5.34 ERA) will pitch for the Phillies.
