The Milwaukee Brewers suffered one of their worst defeats of the season, falling 13-5 to the San Diego Padres at Miller Park on Monday night.

Wily Peralta went just 3 1/3 innings, allowing six runs and eight hits and fell to 2-6.  It’s the Brewers sixth straight loss and the 11th in the last 13 games.

Yangervis Solarte homered twice for the Padres, who have won eight of their last ten games.  They put the game out of reach by scoring six runs in the seventh innings.

Scooter Gennett clubbed the Brewers only home run, going deep in the 9th inning after the game was decided.

Jimmy Nelson pitches game two of the series for the Brewers tonight.  He hasn’t allowed a run over the last 14 innings and is 2-1 with a 0.99 ERA in his last four starts.
