NCAA Division III Football Playoff Field is announced

ncaa-logoThe UW-Whitewater Warhawk football team enters this Saturday’s NCAA Division 3 playoffs with a 10-0 record.  The second ranked Warhawks are making their 11th postseason appearance in the last 12 years and will be searching for their seventh NCAA Division 3 title.

The Warhawks, who have won the Stagg Bowl National Championship game in six of the last nine years, will open up on Saturday at noon against Lakeland (7-3).  The Muskies earned an automatic bid by capturing the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference title and are making their second straight playoff appearance.

The UW-Oshkosh Titans are in the playoffs for the second straight year.  the Titans (9-1) will host Washington-St. Louis (8-2) at noon on Saturday.

UW-Platteville (8-2) is in the playoff field for the second time in their history.  The Pioneers will square off against 9th-ranked St. John’s University of Minnesota on Saturday at noon in Collegeville, Minnesota.
