Kevin Kisner shot a 4-under par 66 to finish at 10-under 270 to win the PGA’s Dean & DeLuca Invitational at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday.

Kisner had a clutch par save on the 18th hole to hold on for the win.  He finished one shot ahead of Jordan Spieth, Sean O’Hair and Jon Rahm.  Spieth shot a bogey free 65.

It’s the second PGA Tour victory in 148 starts for the 33-year-old Kisner.  He was a runner-up twice this year.

Madison’s Steve Stricker had a strong finish, closing with a 63 to finish just four shots off the lead.

Stricker played the first three days of the event at 1-over par.  His 7-under final round pushed Stricker to 6-under par total.

Appleton’s Ryan Helminen’s 10th place finish at the PGA Professional Championship on Wednesday in New York, qualified him for his third consecutive PGA Championship in late July.

Helminen is a Teaching Pro at Ridgeway Country Club in Neenah.  He finished four-over-par during his final round on Thursday at Turning Stone in Verona, New York.  He finished 4-under par for the four round tournament and tied for 10th.

The top 20 qualifiers all secured a spot in the PGA Championship Field.  Rich Berberian Jr. rallied to win the event, holing a 30-foot birdie putt on the final hole for a one-stroke victory.

September 24, 2012 By Bill Scott

After opening with a 3-under par 67 on Thursday, Madison’s Steve Stricker followed with three straight rounds of 73 to finish 6-over par and never really contend for the PGA‘s Tour Championship crown.

Brandt Snedeker closed with a 2-under 68 to earn a 3-shot win.  He not only picked up the $1.4-million first place check, but he adds the $10-million bonus for winning the FedEx Cup.
