Bucks fall to Pistons 103-87 at home

The Milwaukee Bucks could not continue Wednesday’s momentum after a win at Chicago, falling to the Detroit Pistons 103-87 Friday night.  The Bucks (18-17) held a 49-41 lead at halftime, but were outscored by 22 points in the third quarter.

Detroit opened the third quarter with a 23-5 run, and grabbed the lead after a Brandon Jennings foul and resulting technical foul.

The Pistons defense held strong for the game, holding Milwaukee to a 39.6 shooting percentage.

For Milwaukee, three players hit double-digits in scoring.  Brandon Jennings and Beno Udrih each had 15 points, while Monta Ellis scored 13 on the night.  Samuel Dalembert led the Bucks in rebounds with seven, and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Ersan Ilyasova each had six rebounds.

The Pistons were led in scoring by Greg Monroe with 26 points on his way to a double-double.  Brandon Knight had 20 points, with Jason Maxiell and Kyle Singler each adding 10 points.  Monroe and Andrew Drummond each tied for rebounds with 11.

New Bucks coach Jim Boylan suffered his first win since taking over for Scott Skiles.

Milwaukee Bucks take down Detroit Pistons in preseason win

The Milwaukee Bucks are off to a 2-0 start in preseason play after beating the

Detroit Pistons 108-91 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Saturday night.

After blocking 8-shots in the preseason opening win over Cleveland, the Bucks blocked 14 shots against the Pistons last night.  Larry Sanders led the way with five, while rookie power forward John Henson and second year small forward Tobias Harris added four each.

The Bucks broke the game open in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Pistons 40-26.  Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova scored 22 points to lead six Milwaukee scorers in double figures.

Piston’s rookie Andre Drummond led Detroit with 19 points in the loss.

The Bucks return to the court Tuesday night in Chicago against the Bulls at the United Center.
