If the Green Bay Packers wanted Davon House back, they weren’t willing to show him the money.
After receiving offers from multiple teams, House will sign a free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The deal is worth $25 million over four years and includes $10 million in guaranteed money.
According to FoxSportsWisconsin.com, the Packers were only willing to offer House $17 million for four years and $5 million guaranteed.
House will be joining his former college head coach at New Mexico State, DeWayne Walker. Walker is the new defensive backs coach with the Jaguars.
The Packers other option at defensive back is re-signing veteran Tramon Williams. If they don’t up the ante on Williams, the Packers are facing losing both of their free-agent corners.
Free Agency officially begins at 3 p.m. this afternoon.
