The Milwaukee Brewers managed to win their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, but they dropped their series finale 7-1 in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Starter Jhoulys Chacin made it through just 2 1/3 innings, allowing six hits, three walks and six runs, falling to 2-2 on the season.
“My slider wasn’t working today,” Chacin said. “Not for lefties or for righties. I just couldn’t command it. Those guys hit a lot of homers but they also take a lot of walks, too. You have to throw strikes and make good pitches.”
Dodger pitcher Ross Stripling tossed eight innings of one-run ball and didn’t allow a run until Eric Thames’ Sacrifice fly in the eighth. Stripline allowed just four hits and a while striking out three. [Read more…]
